Enjoy a traditional dance show in the evening.
Take the road leading to Mahiyangana where you can enjoy some cultural pursuits. First, take a moment to understand the ‘Pan’ weaving process in a village house. Then you can enjoy an authentic Rice and Curry Lunch, after which you can see the two hidden gems of nature known as Rathna Ella and Kaluwa Wetuna Ella.
The entirety of day four will be spent at the Dambana Vedda Village, where you will experience a bush walk with the natives while going to see their caves and mountains that were inhabited by their ancestors in the past. Visit a dwelling and enjoy the taste of an authentic BBQ as the Veddas dance.
When you arrive in Gal Oya, head to the park to enjoy a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, you can explore the wonders of this location by travelling on a jeep safari. Come across wildlife that thrives off of the Senanayake Samudraya, as well as sights of elephants crossing the water.
On this day, meet with the Chief of the Gal Oya Vedda Village and learn of the past and history of his ancestors as you explore ancient hunting grounds, listen to songs sung in his native tongue and listen to hunter-gatherer tales.
Take a boat safari through the Gal Oya National Park and come across the marine life that lives here, from crocodiles to fish that roam under the water. You can find water birds perching near the banks as well as water buffalos that graze nearby. Learn how to cook a delicious meal at a typical local place to end the day.
In the morning, head to Little Adam’s Peak from Ella. You can see the fascinating sights of the mountain ranges from this point of view. Then, make your way to the Nine Arches Bridge, known for its picturesque nature. Depart for Weligama after these adventures.
