Arrive in Sri Lanka to begin this short but exciting journey through the most important places here. Begin by heading to Sigiriya where you will be graced by the sight of the enormous rock fortress. It will be an exciting venture to climb it. Make a stop at Dambulla to visit the Cave Temples first. Explore its religious history as you can find murals of Lord Buddha covering the rocky walls of each cave. You can also find statues of Lord Buddha in many different shapes and sizes all over this cave. Arrive in Sigiriya after exploring Dambulla to rest for the day.
Begin day two by heading to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress to climb its steps. You will find yourself surrounded by rocky terrain, some even having frescoes drawn years prior. This granite fortress that was made 2000 years ago still stands as one of the most formidable locations in Sri Lanka. You can view the stunning sights of the surrounding areas at the top. Head to Kandy to explore its sights, making a stop at the Matale Alu Viharaya Temple. Arrive in Kandy in time to enjoy a cultural dance.
In the morning, head to the Temple of the Tooth Relic for morning blessings. Explore the city and its contemporary and historic buildings. Make your way to Colombo, stopping by the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and exploring its glorious greenery and colourful flowers. Arrive in Colombo and make your way to the hotel to rest.
On the final day of your journey, explore the city of Colombo for its vivid sights and shopping destinations. Then, head to the airport to depart Sri Lanka.
