Day 01

Once you arrive in Sri Lanka, head to Colombo where you will rest at the hotel.

Enter the city to discover its attractions as soon as day two starts. Shop at numerous shopping centres and businesses found throughout the city. Following this shopping trip, return to your hotel to enjoy an Ayurvedic massage with your significant other to achieve physical bliss. Cycle through the city to see breathtaking sights like Independence Square and the Old Parliament Building as you wind down your day.

On the third day, leave Colombo and travel to Sigiriya, a cultural city. Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Sanctuary en route, where injured and orphaned elephants are saved and cared for. When you get to Sigiriya, go to your accommodation to relax.

If the weather permits, you can take a balloon ride through the sky early in the morning. By doing this you will be able to view Sigiriya’s landmarks from a different angle and make memories. Go to Minneriya for a safari jeep ride through the National Park after a filling lunch. As you stroll through the park, you’ll notice that many Asian elephants are congregating in groups.

At the crack of dawn, head to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress to hike up to the peak where you can see the glorious sunrise. As you traverse this rock, come across murals that were painted centuries ago. On the top lies the palace and the throne of the king where you can see panoramic views of the forests. Make your way to Kandy, taking note of the Spice Gardens on the way. These gardens are the home of many species of native spices, from cardamom to cinnamon. Receive a head and shoulder massage and head to Kandy. Arrive in time to see a classic cultural dance.

Begin your day with a tour of the city. Explore the highlights of the city like the Holy Temple of the Tooth Relic where the relic of Lord Buddha is safeguarded and the Peradeniya Gardens, an iridescent garden filled with romantic scenery. End the day with some shopping, finding the finest gems, colourful batiks, soft silks and perfect wood carvings to take home as souvenirs.

from Kandy, take a train ride to Hatton, a hilly city that is cool and calm. You can head to your hotel once you arrive to relax and enjoy some time with one another, after which you can head to the restaurant to enjoy the candle-lit dinner.

On day eight, spend time traversing the city filled with verdant hills of green, as they are decorated by tea plantations. Walk through these tea hills and enjoy the scenery of tea pluckers delicately harvesting the tea. Head to the factory to see this tea that will be made into the famous Sri Lankan tea.

At the start of day nine, make your way to the Southern Coast of the country, to Galle. Once you arrive, you can explore the Fort which has stood for centuries. While being a UNESCO World Heritage site, it has also gained its fame for being Asia’s best-preserved sea fort.
