Arrive in Sri Lanka to begin this exciting journey. Head to Kalpitiya where you can enjoy time at the beach and go on a dolphin-watching excursion.
Head to Wilpattu National Park, known for having watering holes known as ‘Willu’ that are the namesake of the park. These land depressions are filled with rainwater, creating vital ecosystems for the wildlife.
On the fourth day go to Habarana to partake in some thrilling activities. Begin your hike up the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and come across distinguishing frescoes on your ascent. Next, make your way to Minneriya National Park on the fifth day to begin your wildlife safari. In this park, there are a significant number of Asian elephants. Explore the village in the afternoon.
Make your way to Ramboda through Kandy pausing to take in the vibrant city. Take in the stunning architecture that blends modern and historic elements as you explore. Taste some of the regional food and purchase some handcrafted items. Upon reaching Ramboda, settle into your hotel and unwind for the rest of the day.
Travel to Ella via the scenic train from Nanu Oya. This breathtaking train ride will leave you in awe of the green mountains with foggy summits, the waterfalls and the quaint towns tucked away on the mountainside.
Begin your day with a tour of the city. Explore the highlights of the city like the Holy Temple of the Tooth Relic where the relic of Lord Buddha is safeguarded and the Peradeniya Gardens, an iridescent garden filled with romantic scenery. End the day with some shopping, finding the finest gems, colourful batiks, soft silks and perfect wood carvings to take home as souvenirs.
On day eleven, head to the Yala National Park to come across various wildlife like elephants, birds and the main attraction; leopards. While exploring the park learn about the wild animals that live in this habitat which makes up a significant portion of the country’s Southern Region.
The Udawalawe National Park is a sentimental location well-known for its elephant population. You can take a safari journey through this park to uncover its diverse wildlife and plant life.
u will visit Sri Lanka’s Southern Coast to see the ocean and historical sites. Once you arrive, proceed to Galle to view the historic Galle Fort. It is thought to be among Asia’s best-preserved sea forts. Following that, relax on the beach as the sun sets. Early on the fourteenth day, visit Mirissa to find whales swimming through the Indian Ocean. On their way to warmer waters during the migratory season, many whale species can be seen passing Sri Lanka. Bicycle through the village in the afternoon to take in the sights and meet the friendly locals.
On the fifteenth day depart the Southern Coast by heading to the airport
